Dear Friends,
Today, I celebrate 61 glorious years on this earth.
Thank you to everyone for your good wishes on this happy day.
On our living room wall is a stenciled word picture which I had the opportunity to make at a painting workshop. It reads, “Grateful and Blessed”, and that is how I am feeling right now. Deeply grateful, blessed and privileged to be your pastor and that I have never been happier than I am right now. God is reigning supreme in my life, I have everything I need. And as my friend, Pastor Jason reminds us, “the best is yet to come”.
Our children had a brief flirtation with the Scout movement in New York and to encourage them to cultivate a spirit of adventure, I am introducing them to the prominent Christian and adventurer, Bear Grylls who also happens to be the Chief Scout. Likewise, our faith journey is an adventure as we walk with our Lord, Jesus Christ. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart for sharing in this pilgrim journey and adventure in faith as members of UPC Flanders.
