UPC teaches Sunday school using the rotational model. In a rotational learning setting, the same Bible story or theme is taught for four to six weeks. Each week the different classes rotate to a different workshop.
All children, ages pre-school to 8th grade, come to worship with their families. Following the children's sermon, the children and Sunday school teachers leave the sanctuary and gather in the multipurpose room for a time of prayer and singing.
After singing, the children then go to their class of the week. The children do not go to the same classroom each week, so a shepherd will lead them to their room.
Workshops include storytelling, art, music, drama, creative cookery, computer lab, video, science and missions. While the story remains the same, the children experience it in different ways with each workshop.
